Today’s retail landscape is evolving so rapidly with shifts in consumption, behaviour and attitudes driving changes at one end and the digital revolution and technology driving changes at the other.
Global retailers face the paradox of the internet and the internet generation. Their audience and reach is global and cross-border but their structures and systems are designed for a by-gone era. Many retailers find themselves in a period of flux as they adapt to the demands of today’s evolving consumer and yet what remains constant is the actual physical end product and the packaging that protects it on its journey.
A journey that is changing.
A journey that may end with a drop from a drone or a delivery robot but which will certainly involve multiple touchpoints and handling.
